Haley, Craig & Tuff Trash the Dress

Haley's dad, Jr. Ingram, wasn't thrilled with this opportunity!  But he loosened up!

I don't know who was in charge of the graffiti...I'm sure it wasn't me.  Absolutely sure.  I am pretty sure that most of it was already there.  But what fun we had utilizing it.  Craig, Haley and Tuff are three incredible people.  Full of life.  Full of love.  Full of fun.
We enjoyed Haley's dress what we thought would be for the final time but once the day came to a close Craig decided that he had such a good time trashing the dress that he decided they should keep it and the shirts that he and Tuff wore.  One of the amazing things about this shoot was that the next day at church Haley, Craig & Tuff were spotless!  I thought they would never come clean!  Pretty sure that dress is still a mess though!
One of the purposes of this shoot, this opportunity was for Haley to feel like she had done some things in her wedding dress from six years ago that were indicative of her and Craig's personalities.  I think she finally got it done!

Sneak Peak, Haley, Trash the Dress!

Introducing Craig and Haley Leatherwood.  Many of you already know this beautiful couple.
They are so alive.  So in love.  So wild.
They have been married for 6 years and have a beautiful boy named "Tuff" who is the sweetest boy you will ever meet.
And they decided they wanted another memory in Haley's beautiful, expensive wedding dress so they called me and we "Trashed the Dress".
I love wild women and Haley is one wild woman!  These pictures are just a sneak peak of what is to come and you can see in Haley's face here that she is wondering if she has completely taken leave of her own senses as sweet Tuff gets colored bubbles on her dress.... this is the first of many memories that we got on her dress Saturday!
A trash the dress photo shoot is not done in order disrespect the wedding dress but instead it is intended to install another significant memory into a dress that brought you so much joy in the first place.
It may take some time to get through the 2,959 pictures that I took of the Leatherwood family but it will be well worth you stopping back by to see where we ended this shoot!
Thank you Haley!  Thank you Craig!  Thank you Tuff! for letting me in on this memory!

Girls Who Wear Boots

Girls who wear boots aren't afraid of much...not cold wet weather, not a little mud, not chill bumps...they are tough!  They are my favorite kind of kids!  The laugh hard, play hard, live well!  The Aiken girls came to visit their grandparents at Capitola for Christmas.  Most people don't even know where Capitola is but what a setting for these sisters and their dad to have pictures!  They make Houston home but their roots reach all the way back to Fisher County.  I grew up with these girls uncle and dad so I was thrilled when I got the chance to work with them.  We had fun tromping around in the muck and the mire which, in a drought is a real treat!
Thanks Kate! Thanks Ally!  Thanks Todd! for the fun on the ranch!

Snow Changes Everything....

We stop hurrying for that hour or two that the schools and our employers have delayed things...
We wake up, look out the window and smile rather than grimace...
We gladly go out into the cold...
We take a picture of things that normally we might just brush passed because for today it looks so different...
We admire white in all its purity and beauty as light touches it differently than it ever has before...
We ponder what this snow flake might look like it only we had a microscope...
We move a little slower, we look a little longer, we realize for a day or two, ever how long it stays with us that we don't have to rush around like we do...

A Hill Thanksgiving

Every year my family gathers in Sweetwater for Thanksgiving at my parents house.  Every year we get our family pictures together.  We always enjoy the process and the fellowship.  This year was no different.  Happy Thanksgiving from the Hill's, Strickland's and McCowen's.
