Charles Turns 80

Charles Mullis.  He turned 80 years old this month and his family threw him a party.   His wife, Jerry and their kids decorated the Colonial Hill Fellowship Hall with all kinds of memorabilia from Charles' life.  Photos, newspaper clippings, awards, caps.  You know, some of the trappings of a successful life.  Folks gathered.  I suspect that some traveled distances to get there, while others just had to cross town.  All sorts of people.... brothers, friends, cousins, classmates, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews.  There are all kinds of things that represent a life well lived but what testifies best of a man who has done well with his ways is the people in the room.  Those people love Charles.  They took time to be with him because at some point he took time to be with them.  The hugged him because at some point he hugged them.  Charles is good people.  Happy Birthday Charles.  Here to 80 more.

Kamie and Robert Clements, Second Chance

Second chances don't come around very often but we are always happy to see them when they do.  Robert and Kamie are beginning their lives together and are stepping out into their second chance.

Brandell and Jake Elope

People don't elope anymore.  But Brandell and Jake did!  I think its cool too!  Jake is military stationed in California and Brandell is from Conroe but the met somehow and now they are married.  Now how cool is that?  

Congratulations Brandell and Jake!

The McCowen Family Annual Photo Shoot

Talk about hard to schedule!!  Family photo shoots are hard to schedule!  Now that Blair is out on her own, school, work all that, it is not easy to find the time and opportunity to get everyone together at the "golden hour" which is the hour before the sun sets, which is extremely early this time of the year!  (And yes, I know that was a run on sentence)
But it was good to have everyone together under the same roof, looking into the same lens for a change and when it wasn't a holiday.
It amazes me how much the girls miss one another since Blair lives in Lubbock now.  It does my heart good to know that they love one another.
