Tyrell Massingill & his family

For the first time on a shoot, they shot back!!!

This was easily one of the coolest shoots I have ever been on. Roscoe, Cindy, Tyrell and Kayln Massingill welcomed me onto the Miller Ranch to work on Tyrell's senior pictures and to get some overdue family pictures. Roscoe and Cindy have lived on the ranch for 20 years and know it like the backs of their hands.

You know when you are driving to Lubbock from Snyder and you look at the CapRock? We were on the other side of the Cap, behind the windmills. I had no idea how big the Miller Ranch was, but man it is BIG!

Borden County is blessed to have this family in their ranks. These kids strike me as very talented and disciplined.

...did I mention beautiful?

Roscoe and Cindy were so playful and funny! Of course after I shoot these pictures of them being silly and funny I turned to look at their children as they rolled their eyes in embarrassement. That only cemented this image being on the blog! This one is for you Tyrell and Kayln!......

Guys! Be glad they still play!

This is Tyrell on the gates of the entrance to Miller Ranch. This is the brand V- or -V which ever direction you are traveling and which ever cow you are looking at. All this confuses me....

And these are Tyrell's trappings. Knives, guns, brands, leather, and that senior ring!

Really, we just aren't lake people...

if we were you would see us in a boat, rather than my kids stopping to watch in amazement when a boat passes by.
Shawn hates the water, not so much for himself but for his kids.
I love the water but I can't stand the thought of my kids in too much water that is too deep. So I submit to him in this area.
But every year about this time the kids start begging to go to Lake JB Thomas just to play in the water at the "beach". So Shawn takes us....

But he never leaves their sides...

Unless he can torture them somehow!

I need a question answered... why does a square rock make a round splash?

She's a Teenager, Dad!

Blair has turned 13! Seems like just yesterday.....

We had the 'family party' with the grandfolks, aunts, uncles, etc.
Then the real party began....

A glimpse in...

Ira Flare

Susie White invited me to shoot with her attempting to get a nice picture of one of the Ira Flares.
She is working on a project. The night we did this was so clear, warm and pretty, unseasonably February.
Here is what I ended up with, Susie, I hope yours are better than mine....

The Rosson Family

Meet the Rosson Family.
Justin, Meagan and Anna came to visit me recently at my studio. They are the nicest couple and Anna is just a beautiful little girl. What amazed me so much about this family was how incredibly relaxed they were with their sweet little girl although they are first time parents.
You can see that Anna feels safe and loved with her parents, it just shows in her sweet face.

These parents are enjoying their lives with their child.
