Ira Independent School District has entered a new era.  The building is finally complete and the kids and teachers are settling into new routines, new technology, new surroundings and new methods.  But some things remain the same,  The Strength, Integrity, Determination and Convictions of the leadership of the district.  There are those who might consider this to be the "good ole boys club" I suppose.  Maybe from the outside looking in that might be what you see, but what actually is present here is a group of people who are pleased to represent not only their own families but also a community which has a long legacy of success.  Go to any community function and you will find the backbone of Ira.  They are the older folks who remain loyal to the school that gave them a leg up and a future.  They are the families who are looking for values and Godliness walking the hallways of the school and churches as well as the homes.  They are the new generations coming up through the school with ideas, hopes and dreams.
Will there be mistakes made?  I can PROMISE it!
Will there be lessons learned?  I can PRAY it!
Will there be hopes realized?  I sure hope so!
Will there be love found?  You better believe it!
Welcome to Ira Texas.

Married to the Land, Married to a Man, Beaver Wedding, Fluvanna

Are you ready Daddy?

The prettiest church in the world can't compete with this as a backdrop

Are you ready, Mama?

Mr. and Mrs. Monte Beaver

Not many people understand what the term, "Married to the Land" means.  It means you are strong, not that you are trying to get strong.  It means you are accustomed to isolation.  It means that you are no stranger to hard work.  It means you start your day, and your life in boots.  And not because they are cute (though they can be) but because you are going to walk uneven ground full of the unexpected.
Brandy has her eyes wide open.  And she has her eyes on Monte and Monte has his eyes on Brandy.  And they will honor one another and the land and their Lord.
God Speed Beavers!
