Last Born Twin Emily, A Realistic Life In Transition, 8th Grade Graduation
Celebration of the 8th grade spirit is an uncertain thing. They aren't children anymore and they aren't grown either but they don't know that. Emily is our realist. She sees things they way they are, not as she wishes they were, not as others wish they were. She will tell the truth when the rest of the world lies. And she will also tell the truth when it hurts but she has a remarkable humor that can make you take that truth like a sweet tasting medicine. She is a strange combination of Shawn and me that actually works!
In the womb she seemed to be observing sounds and feelings rather than responding to them. She was still more than we needed her to be at times but she was growing and learning even then. God's hand is on this child as well. She is nimble and quick both physically and emotionally. She is a blessing too.
Emily, I love you. Dad loves you, Blair loves you and Raven loves you. Thank you for being ours.
First Born Twin Raven, A Spirited Life In Transition, 8th Grade Grad
The McCowen household is experiencing all kinds of graduation events. We went to Texas Tech last weekend to watch my nephew, Jake Strickland graduate, Blair, our senior will walk the stage in just a few days and Raven and Emily will graduate 8th Grade here at Ira the same night. Everything is a celebration right now and we are very caught up in the moments.
Raven is my first born twin. From the time she was in the womb I knew from her movements and habits even at such a small age which twin she was, where she was and what she was up to. I knew her personality was going to be like mine and while that worries me still, I know that God's hand is on her. She has a physical, emotional and spiritual strength that I envy. I know that as she grows she will figure out when and where to exert those strengths and when to withhold them. She came from the womb announcing her arrival and she continues to do so.
Raven, I love you. Dad loves you, Blair loves you and Emi loves you. Thank you for being ours.

Ryan Willborn, A life in transition, Senior 2018
He looks like a full grown man until you look right into his pretty baby blues. Then you can see his youth. Ryan is an eighth grader at Borden County and he has a very bright future. He has a sweet disposition and a ton of "yes ma'am's".....and my middle daughters heart. I was honored that I got to take his pix and very much enjoyed a stroll around the Borden County campus on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Ryan we are looking forward to watching you play football against Ira next year. You are a fine young man!

The Young Family
The Young Family has grown a new little love. Jennifer and Jeremiah already have sweet Emmalyn and recently little Tristan joined them. He is a healthy happy little boy to join his big sister. I really enjoyed working with this family. They are madly in love with their kids and just so sweet!
