Aaaaahhhhh, Junior Camp.  A time of spiritual growth.  A time for separation from worldly influences. A time to get back to the basics. Or not.
Our Calvary Baptist kids all boarded the bus to head to Circle 6 Ranch in Lenorah this passed week to get back to God.  The kids did great. Most of the adults did great.  Most of us just sweated profusely!
But it is a lot of fun to get to learn the little personalities of these kids.  You are surprised to find that there are some of the kids that display more adult characteristics than some of the adults!
Staying in the girls dorm is always an adventure and this year was no exception, wiggles and giggles delayed sleep and then activities during the day deplete any rest you may have accidentally gotten.
Thank you Calvary and kids for letting me go and watch because certainly I was no real help!  It was fun.

This sweet Scurry County couple, Jeff and Sally celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few weekends ago at London Bleu here in Snyder.  It was a wonderful reunion of Fluvanna, Polar and the surrounding areas.  It was hard to not get caught up in the local personalities for me.  I knew just about everyone there.  This was such a nice, well put together event.  It was laid back and relaxed and very enjoyable.

Dancer Allysa Hoyle came to visit my studio last weekend before her dance recital.  Isn't she just beautiful?

A New Family in Ira, Introducing Konner Vickers

Ira has a brand new resident.  Konner Vickers.  What a beautiful little angel he is.  Kyle and Amy brought this beautiful boy into their home and lives after waiting entirely too long for him.  That makes him a double blessing to them.  I loved watching them love him and care for him as they worked through the shoot.  He never even woke up he was so relaxed and at ease as we took his picture.

Konner's birth mother made a wonderful choice in this beautiful, patient couple who will undoubtedly love this boy through life.

I can see the pride and the love and the future in their faces as they held and loved on him while we captured his sweet little beginning.

Thank you for making me part of that!

Moments like this remind me of why I am in business.

Ira is small enough to do some special things for the important mile stones in the lives of the students there.  Kindergarten graduation was the last day of school in the morning.  Those who arrived as babies left as First Graders, tall and proud.  Then that evening the Eighth Graders got to receive their certificates to move on into the next important phase of their lives, becoming young adults in high school.  But the 2011 Seniors of Ira ISD moved into REAL life, college, jobs, lifelong relationships, LIFE!  Congratulations Ira Graduates!  We look forward to watching you lay hold of your futures!
