The kids lobbied for the privilege to decorate their mortar boards. Not all wanted to participate but those who did had to follow careful rules and did such a nice job. Another way this class celebrates. |

The Rose Ceremony in Ira is a long standing tradition. Senior are allowed to give roses to those who are near and dear to them. It's an honor to give and to receive. |

Four Ira Board Members had kids in the graduation ceremony. They had the honor of handing the diplomas to their own kids and to kids who mean a lot to them. Board members are: Shawn McCowen, President; William Cotton, Member; Chuck Barbee, Member, Dirk Dunn, Secretary. |

I kept noticing that as the Seniors passed by Dale they were handing him something. It took a while to figure it out but just to throw him off kilter they would all hand him at least one golf ball... His pockets were FULL! |

We are so proud of all these kids. I featured mine on my blog because, after all they are mine. They and the Class of 2018 are an exceptional bunch of kids. They are overcomers, they are good solid people and they expect a lot from themselves and one another. They are a rare breed indeed.
