Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship Meeting

Calvary Baptist Church hosted the state wide Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship Meeting here in Snyder. We estimate that 300 pastors, music and youth ministers and their wives attended.
As a huge bonus to having all of these nice people come the speaker was Jonathan Falwell (son of Jerry Falwell) from Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg VA. The musical treat was Dan Dean of Phillips Craig and Dean. Not only is he a nationally acclaimed Christian singer he also pastors the Heartland Church in Irving Texas.

For 24 hours the pastors became the congregation.
The worship leaders followed
and the youth ministers became students.

There is something special about seeing men come together to encourage and pray for one another.

Mr. Falwell:

Dan Dean was so accommadating of the admiration shown by our members and his fans.

Did I mention that our congregation fed over 300 people today? MAN WAS IT GOOD!

Family Vacation

This picture could be of any family in American traveling and crowding into the shot!

Our hotel had a pool on the top floor. That was cool for the girls.

While we were in San Antonio we found out that the Dallas Cowboys were practising just blocks from our hotel (The Hotel Contessa, downtown on the riverwalk). They were at the AlamoDome and we were able to walk to the stadium and watch for a while. I have no idea who is in the picture as far as players, sorry!

We enjoyed the boat ride tour of the river. The scenery is so pretty, it is hard to believe that you are so downtown!

Then on to Sea World. I think I like the entrance more than any other thing at the park.

And YES! It was HOT!

Good ole Shamu!

What a neat thing happened for us while there in San Antonio. My friend Valary from high school lives there and not only did we get to have lunch in the Market (GREAT shopping!) but we got to go to her house for supper, the girls got to swim and I got to catch up from 20 years of not enough time together. Thank you Vallary, Carlos, Heather and Hannah for your hospitality and great food! What a treat!

Meet the Alarcon Family: I had such fun getting to know Melanie and Mike's family. These boy are just great. They are lively, intelligent and comical.

I have known Brittany since she was five years old. She looks just like she did back then. She is so pretty. And she chose a good looking guy to marry too! Michael is the first marine I have had the priviledge of photographing.
