Pastors Conference

Calvary Baptist hosted a Pastor's Conference a week or so ago.  We laymen forget that our Preachers need encouragement along the way just like we do.
The event began with a steak supper complete with Jayson Steelman singing. 

The guests speakers on Tuesday were Wes Bygel of Lubbock Baptist Temple, Keith Bassham, Editor of the Baptist Bible Fellowship Tribune and Chuck Reynolds who is now a pastor in Abilene but played for the Cleveland Browns.  They were all inspirational.

Birthday Girls

Around here Birthday Breakfast is as important as Birthday Cake.  Then your Birthday Supper shouldn't be too shabby either.  Raven & Emily turned 11 yesterday, which by the way is completely unbelievable to me.  We had their traditional pancakes with chocolate chips on top and between... with coffee of course!
I took a snack to the 5th grade class at school which was fun.  Then I made them their supper of choice, which this year was Alfredo Noodles and Steak on the grill with biscuits and a nice salad topped with Olive Garden Dressing.  It was pretty good!
They are pretty fun girls so we had a nice time.
Thanks God for them.

Bookkeeping Partner

This morning I worked on my books out on the deck and had someone preying (praying) with me as I worked.  She wasn't a lot of fun but she was attentive.  Hated having her picture made though.  As you can see she turned her back to me which really worked better than when she faced me because she was never in focus when she looked at me!
